Pros and cons of Rogue Star app for iPhone and iPad

Rogue Star app good for

Wow this game is well made. I love it. Im surprised this game isnt well known. Buy it. Its definitely worth the price.
At first I found it easy to play, then I was having issues staying alive. Once I figured out how to adjust my shield, lasers, and engines better I was doing better. Love the look of the graphics and feel of the controls. Difficulty is, in my opinion, spot on. It is challenging and that makes it fun. I cant wait to see how this game grows. Great work guys!!!!!
The game has a nice visual style and mechanics but I found it quite hard to play. Almost every encounter with two pirate ships ends with my death and I have no chance to earn money for a new ship. I think itll be good to reconsider game balance a little bit. Thanks
Everything you could have only dreamed of: spaceships, ugly aliens, hardcore gameplay and nice visuals
Works just fine to me. Notice how I did not pay for splash screen!

Some bad moments

Cant get past the tutorial page even if I try to skip the tutorial.
Graphics are nice, but a few issues. First, it really needs a storyline to make it interesting. Second, my game is now crashing EVERY time I try to load my current game. Battles seem random for difficulty where you just get blown out of the sky on some fights and lose your money invested in cargo. Played for a few hours, couldnt save up enough money for the first ship upgrade. Im quickly losing interest in this game and wishing I didnt spend money on it.
Since there is no way to get away from pirates if you encounter them, chances are they will blow you away if they have any ship other than the Snub. As you can imagine, this makes for some pretty frustrating times trying to get enough cash for the next level ship. I havent been able to do it after a couple hours, its becoming not fun.
I love just about everything about this game. The concept, visuals, and combat make it an excellent Elite alternative for when Im away from my PC. That said, this game has major difficulty issues. Its unclear if the difficulty scales with the cargo youre carrying, but every time I fill my hold Im met with absurd odds. The alternative is running piddle little transport missions that can get quite grindy. With some tweaking of this flaw the game could be nearly perfect for the platform.
This game shows a LOT of promise... Might end up as a great game, but is basically unplayable right now due to difficulty.
Space combat is supposed to be difficult! Otherwise everyone would be good at it.
