Tons of promise and bad balance issues

Maybe Im just missing something but anything more than one enemy ship is doom. Ive launched maybe a dozen trade missions and only completed one. Meaning Ive lost thousands of credits worth of cargo. Its difficult to aim but meanwhile the computer seems to never miss.

I love the idea of the game. The graphics are charmingly retro and the music and sound are wonderful. But man is it frustrating to play.
